This policy draft is provided for product use and should be reviewed by legal counsel before publishing.

Welcome to Spot. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Spot, including our mobile app, website, features, user-generated content, and subscription services.

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, logging in, accessing, or using Spot, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Spot.

Privacy Policy

2. Apple Standard EULA

Where applicable, Spot is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement for apps distributed through the App Store.

Apple Standard EULA

If these Terms conflict with Apple's Standard EULA for App Store distribution, Apple's Standard EULA applies only to the extent required by Apple's rules or applicable law.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information up to date.

You may not impersonate another person, create accounts for abusive purposes, evade enforcement actions, or use Spot in a way that harms other users or the service.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create, upload, post, or share on Spot.

By posting content on Spot, you grant Spot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify for formatting, distribute, and otherwise use your content as needed to operate, improve, promote, and provide the Spot service.

You are solely responsible for the content you post and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to post it.

5. User-Generated Content and Moderation

Spot includes user-generated content. To keep the community safe, Spot has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

Users may not post, upload, share, or promote content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, illegal, spam, misleading, or otherwise objectionable.

Spot may use automated and manual moderation tools to filter, review, hide, or remove objectionable content.

Users can report objectionable content or abusive users from within the app. We review reports and will act on objectionable content reports within 24 hours when appropriate, including removing content and suspending or terminating accounts that violate these Terms.

Users can block other users from within the app. Blocking a user immediately hides that user's content from the blocking user's feed where applicable and may notify Spot's moderation systems for review.

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users, Spot, or third parties.

6. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or abusive behavior.
  • Post hate speech or content attacking people based on protected characteristics.
  • Post sexually explicit, pornographic, or nude content.
  • Post graphic violence, threats of violence, or encouragement of self-harm.
  • Post illegal content or content promoting illegal activity.
  • Post spam, scams, phishing, deceptive content, or misleading information.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Violate another person's privacy or intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to bypass moderation, blocking, reporting, or safety systems.
  • Use Spot to exploit, harm, or target minors.
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of Spot.

7. Reporting Objectionable Content

If you see content or behavior that violates these Terms, you can report it in the app using the report option available on user-generated content or user profiles.

Spot reviews reports and will act on objectionable content reports within 24 hours when appropriate.

For urgent safety or moderation concerns, contact us at support@spotapp.online.

8. Blocking Users

You can block abusive or unwanted users from within the app. When you block a user, Spot will immediately hide that user's content from your feed where applicable and limit that user's ability to interact with you where supported.

Blocking may also notify Spot's moderation systems so we can review potentially abusive behavior or objectionable content.

9. Enforcement

We may remove content, limit distribution, restrict features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, or take other appropriate action if we believe a user has violated these Terms, harmed other users, or created legal, safety, or operational risk for Spot.

For serious or repeated violations, we may permanently remove the offending content and eject the user who provided the offending content from the service.

10. Subscriptions and Payments

Spot may offer paid auto-renewable subscriptions, including Spot Pro.

Subscription details, including the subscription title, subscription duration, price, and included features, are shown in the app before purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Spot does not directly process App Store payments and does not control Apple's billing, refund, or cancellation processes.

Subscription features are available while your subscription is active. If your subscription expires, is canceled, or cannot be renewed, access to paid features may end.

All prices are shown before purchase and may vary by region, currency, taxes, promotions, or App Store settings.

11. Privacy

Your use of Spot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information.

12. Intellectual Property

Spot and its software, design, features, branding, logos, and related intellectual property are owned by Spot or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of Spot except as permitted by law.

13. Termination

You may stop using Spot at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to Spot if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or use the service in a way that may harm Spot or third parties.

14. Disclaimers

Spot is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that Spot will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of Spot.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by updating the effective date, posting a notice, or using in-app communication. Continued use of Spot after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
